I have just picked up my new 1.2 pop and have no carpet mats, don't really want to pay the £50 for the official ones so wondered if anyone knows of a good website for unofficial accessories?

Also you might have a look in Halfords.

Their Improved Fit Car Mats (Shape 1) are a surprisingly good fit for the 500 and last time I checked they were on special offer at £24.99 for a set of 4.

They are a plain black carpet mat and are of decent quality. I've had them in my 500 for a few months now and they still look like new.

I'll post pictures if anyone wants to see how they look in the car.

I bought a set of black ones from Halfords, bargain at a tenner and they fit very well indeed.....and look good.

Can you trust the E-Bay ones as a lot that claim to be for the Fiat 500 do not look the same shape as the official ones.

If you buy them from a shop, you can

(a) see what you're getting and feel the quality

(b) try out the fit it the car before committing yourself.

Just a thought.

Do the mats really need to be the same shape as the originals? As long as they protect the carpets that's all you're after.

To be honest, as long as they are the right shape, and look ok - they are fine. As nice as mats may seem when choosing them, just remember its what you use to wipe your feet on

No one is ever gonna say "whooah, what nice car mats"

Actually the car mats are what i look at first...
