I read on the Fiat 500 website (I still stalk it, sad, I know!) and it said that the 500s have more compartments in the dashboard than just the one in front of the passenger seat. Any help please? I have had a look, but can't see anything.
Thanks!

There's a secret compartment in front of the passenger seat, in the glove box area.

See this: http://img42.imageshack.us/img42/2473/img00123201003101533.jpg

And this is it open: http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/3484/img00119201003101532.jpg

If thats not what they mean then i dont know...

I still think the dash should have a cover. Underseat storage is fine until someone is sitting on it - at which point you have to stop, and tell them to get out so you can access the storage

There is a dinky little 'secret' compartment, just big enough for a couple of packets of condoms, under the dash on the passenger's side. You reach underneath and find a little trigger flap about two fingers width. Pull that toward you, and down drops the hatch.

Hi. On my 500c I cant find a storage area under the passenger (or driver) seat. it has the standard Lounge seats (not leather)

Please advise whether they should be there and if should I get to them (I have tried what it says in the manual)

If your little road rocket has got standard seats, not leather, according to the configurator and manual there should be a compartment under the passenger seat. Having said that, if you've gone for Interscope sound that deletes the underseat storage too.

Perhaps someone more knowledgeable could post a photo?

Try lifting the passenger seat squab from the rear and tilting it forward. This compartment can't be seen normally until you open it.

I have tried this but no joy....... just thinking I specified the memory passenger seat so it goes back to position when you have tilted it. Maybe this deletes the storage??

Somebody already did do already, lol. Still never say I don't rise to the occasion. :D

ps. Don't ask about the "Arrow" Lloyd has already visited that in the original post and suffice to say it's not relevant in this context. :)

Yes it does I think - that's a shame, I actually find my seat storage very useful! I keep my satnav there (when I'm not using it obviously!) and I've also kept my bag there once or twice when we've gone for a walk and I didn't want to carry it around with me. Still, memory passenger seat is useful too!!

I wish I realised what a pain in the butt the seats were when you need to get someone in the back! Luckily, my daughter usually rides in the front as we take OH's car when we're all together

The storage under the seat, i've never actually opened it, doesnt look big enough for a handbag from that picture, oooo gota look lol

Haha we're talking quite a small bag here! But you can squeeze more than you think under there :) and yes, the seats are a bit stiff at first to pull forwards and back - but they do loosen up after a while. My mum visited recently and my poor 6'2" boyfriend had to keep squeezing into the back as she's got bad knees. Once he was back there it was surprisingly roomy - but it was funny watching him squeeze through the gap :-D

I am upset I have not got a storage space but very pleased with the memory seats. It was the 1st thing that annoyed me on the test drive when I tried to get into the passenger seat after it had been tilted and could not fit!!

Once you know how the seats work it's not really all that much of an inconvenience not to have it on the passenger seat. With the drivers seat you do need it though because obviously you want the seat to stay in the same place everytime.

I have to say that I haven't quite cracked that yet! When I move my drivers seat forward it a) is very stiff to move it back again; and b) when it does move back it's as far forward as it can be (I need to push it back quite a bit as I'm quite tall).

What am I doing wrong?!

Not reading the manual!
