Hello and welcome!

Sounds like a good choice of options to me!

Chrome mirrors really do look good imho and you can purchase them cheaply enough on eBay.

Bonnet line? Not my cup of tea, and the same goes for the A bar. But, it's your car, if you like it, go for it.

Personally I'd leave it without the chrome, you've ordered teh sport, don't chrome it up.

Also, why have you ordered the sport yet paid extra for the glass roof?

I'm assuming that you've gone for the opening roof

In sport that costs 12565 and in lounge spec it's 12365. If you've gone for the fixed roof then you're wasting even more money!

I've not posted on this site in a while, simply because it's overrun with self-important know-it-alls, but I feel that I must correct your errors here maxi. As you well know, the glass roof is not standard on the sport. Nobody has wasted money. Stop trying to mislead people.

And I'd get the chrome bonnet line too - it'll really set the front off well

What I meant was that they've ordered the sport and paid the same amount as the lounge which is the model where you get the glass roof for "free" (standard)

You know damn well what I meant :ROFLMAO: Quit trying to score points.

It's called choice. It is something everyone has, especially when they are the one paying for the car!

Never assume. It makes you look foolish when you are wrong.

You need to check your figures.

PanDam16's spec with Fixed Glass Roof is £12,265 or £12,515 with Electric Sunroof. Equivalent Lounge is £11,805 and £12,365 respectively, but does not have Front Fog Lights, Rear Spoiler or Dark Tinted Windows.

Once you add £150 each for the Front Fog Lights and Dark Tinted Windows and an estimated £200 for a dealer-fitted Rear Spoiler (it is not available as a factory-fit) the Lounge works out £40 more expensive with Fixed Glass Roof and £350 more expensive with Electric Sunroof.

Fiat site says a 1.2 lounge in pasadoble with two tone alloys, black leather with an opening sunroof is 12,365?

Of course if you add all the sport bits on it's more expensive but the OP might not actually want the tinted windows, spoiler or foglights.

Sorry, typo (amended now). I used the correct figures in my calculations though as the Lounge is still £40 and £350 respectively more expensive.

Did you bother to find that out before announcing to PanDam16 that they would have been better off buying a Lounge?

No.

The simple fact is, you compared a Sport to a Lounge without taking into consideration the full specification of each model and decided the Lounge is better value without knowing anything about why a Sport was ordered.

I know that the Sport has some extra stuff on it, I'm just saying that if you don't actually want some of that stuff that Lounge is cheaper. Perhaps I should have explained myself better in my first post.

Sure the lounge is more expensive IF you want to ass the spoiler AND the tinted windows AND the foglights but IF and I stress IF the OP doesn't want those things then the Lounge is generally the cheaper car to go for, especially if the roof is only the fixed one.

What an absurd thing to say! So was I supposed to know you wrongly assumed the OP doesn't want any of the standard features of the sport (seats, spoiler etc)? Do you really think that the OP is incapable of making a rational choice? Your arrogance is astonishing

Hi everyone

Thank you so much for all your replys and comments, the reason why i went for the 500 sport is because i wanted the tinted windows, spoiler, fog lights and sports seats and when i worked it out on the lounge i would have been paying much more as you cant have the spoiler as an extra so you would have to order it off the fiat website then have it sprayed and put on so over all it would have been much more.

As for the bonnet line i think i will defo go for it as i sore a 500 yesterday and it looked great (y)

i also went for the glass roof as it makes a difference in the way the car looks over all. When it arrives i think that it would look great :D

My first car.... 500 with all the extras i want :D:D:D

Fair enough then :) If you want the fogs, spoiler and tinted windows then the sport is definitely the car for you :)

BTW all the leather seats are the same design as in the sport so a lounge or pop with leather seats has the same supportive seats as the sport, just with leather.

Yeah all the leather seats are of the sport design :)

Here are the ones from my lounge in case Grimwau hasn't seen them before :p

I didn't like the fabric or shape of the pop or lounge seats either.

Have to agree somewhat with Zakt (there's a first time for everything ) although I wouldn't necessarily have stated in the same manner . When I was choosing mine the best way to get ALL the things I wanted was to go SPORT and add the Skydome, Chrome, split folding rear seats and .......... most importantly the boot light.

Daniel, I think that you may have inadvertantly based your assumption on something that wasn't actually mentioned. Whether you are correct or not won't be known without extra clarification from the person concerned.

p.s Nice of you to show us pics of your red leather seats again. :D

I'll happily admit that I was wrong Tony :) I definitely was this time. That's what happens when you use you own logic rather than asking the person what they want. Glad you like the seats :p
