ello - just a quick update on the post from earlier. Our daughter Iris is now 5 months old and still being carted around in the Abarth.

We went for the iCandy Cherry in the end, which has turned out pretty well, smaller and easier to get around shops and busses than some other prams, but sturdy enough to withstand constant use and the occasional flight overseas. After all the stress of choosing "the right pram", I'm sure they're all pretty good and you get used to them quickly. But getting a decent second hand one on eBay was a definite plus!

Iris is still in the pram part (not the stroller part), and we've become damned slick at the process of folding it all into the back - baby comes out and gets strapped into baby seat in the back, the cot comes off the chassis and gets chucked into the other back seat (split folded down), the chassis has both large wheels popped off and then stacks - leant over - in the boot. We can be off in a jiffy if both of us are there, and it's not too tricky if there's only one of us. It doesn't leave much extra room, although we did cram in 20kg of airport luggage and lots of squashy bags on top recently.

As I said before, if I was doing this on my own everyday, it would probably be too much faff (and we'd look at other prams or other cars), but once or twice a week - normally with two of us - it's no problem.

The funniest bit is getting the maxi-cosi car seat through the passenger door into the iso-fix. I'm sure on a regular 500 it's fine - just a bit of contortion on your part to drop it into place. But on the Abarth, those lovely bucket seats only fold forward so far, so you literally have to squeeze the seat though the opening before it pops through - then drop it onto the seat. Anyway, Iris doesn't seem to mind!

Try to fit these in!;)
