Hello,

New member here, got the link from a friend who has a 500 and thought I'd have a look around because me and the girlfriend are considering getting one. We are also looking at an IQ.

Having driven a 1.2 "Pink" at the weekend I have a couple of questions that hopefully people can help out with as I'm not 100% convinced our local salesman knew his stuff.

Basically we are looking at a 1.2 Lounge and were wondering...

1. Do all 500 interiors have a light/beige coloured roof?

2. In the brochure it says the sunroof is fixed. This may sound really stupid but is it fixed or can it open? The salesman was trying to convince me that it opened electrically like the one in the Pink that we had a go in!

All feedback is much appreciated.

Tim

Forgive me if im wrong, but as I know it, the lounge has a fixed sunroof that doesnt open, unless you pay the extra £580 I think it is

The interior comes in either light or dark ambience, though it's dependant on what spec &/or colour you go for. Off the top of my head the Lounge & Pop have mostly light ambience, the Sport has mostly the dark ambience. There's tonnes of configurations though, so i suspect you can pick what you like, dependant on bodywork colour.

The sunroof situation i'm more certain about. The Lounge spec gets a fixed glass roof as standard that goes about halfway back along the roof. You can upgrade to an opening sunroof called Skydome, of the same sorta size, as an option.

The Pop & Sport get no glass roof, but you can also add the opening Skydome sunroof as an option.

I don't think he means that I think he means the roof lining :) which looking at pictures and the configurator is always ivory?

As far as i know all the roof lining is beige. If you had a test drive in the pink which is surprisingly dark on the inside and it was beige then, yep!

The lounge comes with a fixed glass roof which is really just an un-opening sun roof that doesn't steal headroom. You even get a cover to slide across it if you don't want to see the sky :p The sun roof on the other hand steals headroom. So if you're tall i would take a look at it, especially if you want leather seats, which seem to prop you up a bit to start off with.

I thought he meant that, but i imagined the roof lining colour mightve changed with the ambience. I imagined wrong then!

Or indeed the fixed glass roof, as I did.

Ooh yes, forgot about that too. Doing well arn't i :(
