General Waiting Times?

Hi,

I am very tempted to order a 500C (1.4 16v Lounge Convertible with a few optional extras). Does anyone know what the current waiting time is for delivery? Also any discounts being offered off the list price or am I wasting my time trying.

A couple of people around here have bought a 500C recently, and I think it was about 3 months. Probably worth a quick call to the dealer though - as things may have changed since the end of the scrappage scheme

many dealers will have 500c demos in now that you can drive off in without the build wait, wont be too hard to find a great spec...

they had 5 at thames fiat in slough on tuesday!!!

There are very few 1.4 16v Lounge available, as it is the slowest-selling engine in the Lounge range.

Add to that the fact that you don't say what the "...a few optional extras..." are, nor what colour/interior/roof combination you want, and you have asked a question that is impossible to answer...

Thanks for the replies...well I have a spec in mind if I was buying new but I would be prepared to compromise if there was a nice demonstration vehicle available.

Options I'd selected were:

White (Solid) paint
Black Roof
Black Leather interior / Black ambiance
Italian Side sticker
White side bar with 500 logo
Leather gear knob..

Think that was it...

Sounds great I had to wait around 12 weeks after ordering mine in early January, but not sure if that would still be the case. All I can add is that it's DEFINATELY worth waiting for So if you have your heart set on that spec then go for it!

I've just purchased today for my wife a 500C 1.2 Lounge Convertible in Electroclash Grey and ivory-brown cloth & ivory ambience. Ive added the following extras, dualogic semi automatic transmission, electrochromatic dipping rearview mrror, 15" multispoke alloy wheels, side rubbing strip with 500 logo, Blue&me map navigation predisposition and wind stop. The garage said it should arrive mid to end of June (2010!)

Well I've been knocking on dealer doors for a few weeks. Discounts are hard to find but you may get some money knocked off for a pre-stop start model!! We did I was generally quoted 12-14 weeks waiting time for a factory order. You may be better finding a similar spec demo or un-registered car and try to get some extras thrown in

I was quoted 8-10 weeks for my 500c as a factory build but it is looking like its going to be here in 6!! Was ordered 6th Aprill and really looking forward to it - should be in next 2 weeks
