I keep my car relatively clean and tidy but the seats are getting filthy, anyone else getting this problem? Can anyone suggest anything to clean them?

I have just ordered my 500 with the checquered seats ... never even crossed my mind about how dirty they could get.

I assume that some sort of clearner is available. Would be an awful shame if i had to get seat covers (n)

I think i read somewhere on the thread about a shampoo vac but surely thats quite expensive..?

if you want something that's easy to clean do go for leather if you can afford it. Almost 9 months and almost 8k on and my seats look fine other than a little bit of ageing as leather does of course :)

I really wish I'd gone for the leather on mine, since I too have the blue and white chequered seats and they're a nightmare to keep clean. Infact, mine are absolutely filthy and nothing seems to be getting the dirt out :(

As much as i know the practicalities of the leather i like the chequed seats and besides im not paying for it so cant puch my luck lol. Any shampoos or protectors that anyone knows of that are any good?

Well you could always pay for the leather yourself ;)

I wouldnt have wanted leather though either as i have never liked it from a young age when my legs used to stick to the leather in my Dads cars!

Might take my car down to my local valeters and get them to do there magic

yes but mine are black and white. I would love leather and may change to another car that has leather depending on whether I have a job or not in the next few months.

Well then, you're destined to have dirty seats.

As for sticking to leather, when was the last time it was hot enough to stick to leather I ask you!

I'm so glad I went for the leather as I have noticed colour staining from my jeans onto the leather, which comes off with a leather wipe (or wet wipe). Also when my child was sick in the car it was easy to clean and get rid of the smell.

However, when I did have cloth seats in my old Panda I never saw any dirtiness on the seats but perhaps the type of material has changed? (and I was a student back then so ate chips, kebabs and the like in the car!).

Hope you find something to get it cleaned.

I have tan leather seats for various reasons, and I like them alot, but I think the lounge checkered and the Pop red seats are the best looking.

Unfortunately for me the red pop seats just didn't go with the blue car I had my heart set on (IMO) and I was put off the Lounge checkered seats by the fact that they look like an effort to keep clean, and but if you can somehow keep them clean I think they look worth it as they're so beautiful.
