As long as there's enough free space on the memory stick, then yes, it will work as I've done it before. I'm not sure how much free space you'll need to have on it for storing driving data though.
it erases the data on the memory stick and copies in your computer once you plug it into your computer and run ecodrive. in the tutorial of ecodrive, it says "if a memory stick is not plugged in, the car saves up to 8 hours of driving data". i'm guessing blue&me unit has a storage capacity of maximum 128-256 mb and my tank usually lasts about 14 hours. you do the math. i'm pretty sure you're safe unless you sync in every two or three months.
this might be a stupid question, but does having eco-drive turned on affect the performance at all, like having the sport button on/off or something? or is it just a question of gathering data?
