A couple of days ago I put an order with the Ebay trader calling himself "ardatuning2010" - this is the Turkish seller who deals in stainless steel accessories (I was after some sill covers).

Anyway, long story short - Ebay have closed his account and recommended that anybody in the middle of a purchase should not pay him. I had paid, but luckily by Paypal, so the payment was refunded.

It seems that there'll be little grief in him setting up a new Ebay account (all he'll need is another home address, email address and bank account), so be wary of any stainless items originating in Turkey, as you may not receive them!

does he only sell 500 parts?

No, but a fair number of his listings were for 500 parts - Sills, mirror covers, number plate surrounds and odd trim pieces for the edge of the bootlid. His feedback looked quite good though, which makes it all the more odd that his account was closed.

ebay will close an account if they find you use another account to bid up prices or if you bid for stuff and dont pay.

S/he was selling items as "buy it now". It's probably more likely that ebay fees weren't paid

could be, bet it wont be for ripping off buyers though, ebay are only interested when they lose money, they don't give a dam about the public getting ripped off

It was ebay which allerted me to a potential problem, and paypal (owned by ebay) made the refund within 15 minutes of requesting it, so that's not entirely fair
