Hi All

Ordered on the 17th Nov and pick up tomorrow! ...very excited!! :D

Reading these forums has certainly passed the time!! ...... thanks everyone for the advice and tips!!.......

....although I'm starting to feel a bit nervous!! ...... might feel a bit like a driving test on the 35 miles home from dealer!! ...... driving test nearly 19 years ago and many cars later, so don't know why I feel like that!! :rolleyes:

...but won't be sorry to see the back of my clio ..... nowt but trouble since I've had it!!

....a dualogic POP in BNW with chrome pack, italia side stripes and B&Me..... seems a bit boring compared to some of the ones on here :eek:

I could have "configured" to within an inch of my life!! :D ......but budget was a bit tight at the time but compared to the new prices with the VAT increase it was a comparitive bargain! ........ and a cut above the other 10 cars I test-drove!! .......... hope I won't be disappointed!

Hi All

Well "she's" home!! Picked up on Saturday no problems!!......hadn't realised it would be so much fun to drive!!....spent an afternoon in the sunshine down country roads and really bought a smile to my face!!:D

Passing through town a really nice cha cha azure 500 was passing me and the driver gave me a big thumbs up.....(y).......never understood that "hello my cars the same as your's waving thing" but I was secretly chuffed.....not sure if that's classed as sad! :eek:

My biggest problem so far is the millions of starlings using my new car as their night toilet! :eek:......Any tips on what to use/not to use to keep my car white not bird s*@t grey!??

Glad you are enjoying your car .. I have never picked up a new one but can imagine it would be a pretty good experience.

I never understood that saying hello because the cars the same .. but I was recently at a car wash, I had left mine unattended and was in my other halfs car - and someone pulled up in a BNW 500, they had to get out too for the car cleaning people - and they started looking round mine and smiling

When I returned to my car, had a good and friendly chat about the entire 500 ownership experience.

You need a good quality wax to seal your paintwork, be very careful because bird lime is very acidic and will eat your paint. Depends on how often you want to be cleaning your car really, something like this would seal for a few months, generally needs applying once every 6mths or so ideally. If you like cleaning the car of a weekend, then a decent wax should do it and build up protection gradually.

Alternatively, if you're really struggling, try this. :rolleyes:
