Am I missing the obvious? We collected my wife's 1.2 pop today which supposedly comes with drivers seat height adjustment but lifting or pushing the side leaver has no effect whatsoever. I am presuming that as I can feel an electrical connection under the front offside of the driver's seat the system is motor driven? Also I note that the Owner Handbook and Ready to Go Booklets refer to a "Code Card" in respect of the keys (we have both the electronic and manual key) which we do not seem to have (we do have the radio code). A trip back to the dealers?

The height adjustment only operates the base of the seat, not the back rest. Its just tilts too, rather than raises. A bit poor, I'd say.

I didn't have the key code either, but when I checked with the dealer I was told that they keep all the info on a central database instead. I understand Ford takes this policy now too. There's nothing to worry about

What he said. Drivers seat tilts and you get no code card as it's a security risk.

Thanks for the info to date. I am re-assured regarding the Code Card and only raised it because it is mentioned in the Fiat Handbook. Certainly I am aware of not having one for my Ford Mondeo.

As for the seat height I cannot detect any movement or noise at present when the lever is moved - tilting or other. I note the PDI list includes "fit fuses - ensure all are fitted correctly". Does anyone know which fuse relates to the drivers seat - the owner manual does not seem to list it? Given ours was a registration change rush car I wonder if this particular fuse has been missed or is not seated correctly as everything else appears to be fine. My wife is very explicit she is not to be parted from her new baby just yet - she will live without the adjustment for the time being rather than part with it back to the dealer!

The adjustment is manual, not electrical, so fuses are irrelevant. By the sound of it you are pulling the lever up once and expecting the seat to rise. You need to pump it up/down to adjust the way you want to go.

Just a thought, but the lever needs to be 'pumped' to move the seat. It is a manual action so you need to keep moving the lever up or down to get it tilt. Just lifting it or pushing it down won't do anything.

Apologies if this is what you've been doing.

No, not that slow! :D

I started typing then went outside to see if it made a difference if you were sitting on the seat or not, then came in to finish off.

Thank you everyone for your patience. went out last night and tried pumping - all is well. I tried to submit this response but couldn't obtain forum access hence late response.
