Hi all

Fitted some parking sensors today, painted them to match the car last week with a spray can from Halfords and fitted them today, they work great and a huge saving on Fiats prices, only £18.95 for the kit and it even comes with the hole saw to drill the bumper. Got them from this web-site - www.rearparkingsensors.co.uk :) really pleased with them. (y)

What's even more tidy is the subliminal ad I think I saw....... :D

As for the sensors, DraigFlag is right, it's a job well done!

Am pleased that there have been a few posts without someone saying "Whats the point of rear parking sensors on a car so small, and with good visibility"

Not my bag, but looks good externally - Any internal pictures?

I don't see the point myself and tbh it would drive me mad having the stupid beeping but they do look alright :)

I nearly did, but assumed the owner had some sort of disability and/or spine/neck injury which made turning around to look behind painful and difficult. Otherwise yes, they are very pointless, especially with the large side view mirrors and the fact that if you open the drivers door and peep back, you can see the back of the car so easy! (made even more appealing by the sound of the Abarths exhausts burbling away!)

Hi All

This is my first post and just thought some people may be interested in the fitting of the parking sensors, I am not wishing to do any advertising, it is just the car and the parking sensors I was wishing to discuss. Sorry if some people think I was trying to advertise.
Sorry but no photos from the inside, but fitted them in about an hour, as they all just plug into a black box and you only have 2 wires to connect, 1 to live that goes to the reversing light, and 1 to earth, very simple, and they turn on when you select reverse just like OEM.

Was the inside of the bumper pre marked for the sensors like on the Grande puntos?

Hi Andy

I did not take the bumper off, so do not know, just marked off on the outside and drilled the holes through, but lots of space behind and no need to remove the bumper.

Looking at the Haynes Circuit Diagram now,
Reversing lamp in left hand rear light cluster is fed via a White wire from terminal 1 ( Connector F) of the Body Control Unit and the earth from that light cluster is Black going to Earth Point No 6 ( top of Near side C pillar)
I know it might not be much help as the feed is White and there seems to be a lot of White wires used ( can bus system I guess)

Sorry to stir up this thread again but does anyone know off the top of their head which wire is the live for the reversing light?

Easiest way that I figured this out is take the back of the light off and follow the trace from the bulb then you can look at the corresponding pin on the plug.
