Hi Guys

I've had my car since end of march last year and yesterday i noticed that the metal poles on the front restriants have sort of what i can only describe as corroded in parts. At first i thought it was loads of scratches on them as thats what it feels like when you run your finger over them but on closer inspection it looks like corrosion similar to the elements on an old kettle. I really dont know how its happened and the only time they wouldv'e been taken out was when dealer had to replace leather on the back seats last summer.
Do you think dealer would replace the poles under warranty? Or would they try and say i did it even though i have never taken them out?

If worse comes to the worst and i have to pay for them to be replaced does anyone have any ideas how much it would cost and can they replcae just the poles?

I would just rub them with a little SS cleaner from the kitchen and leave a little baby oil residue on them to stop any further corrosion (if thats what it actually is)
