Tuning O.Z Alleggerita HLT Review

The fact that they all weighted the same 3 digit down the decimal really says something about their quality... they could have easily screwed it up with the incorrect amount of paint! :D

Probably the most respected wheel manufacturer. Well used in F1, World rallying etc. Quality product, hardly a Halfords special. As you say for all you know.
Even used on the Abarth 500 Assetto Corse!

Must admit it sounds quite a lot of money too, considering i got x4 genuine Abarth wheels with tyres for £540 (- £300 for my old ones) so £240 as oppose to £250 each from a dealer :p
You get what you pay for :) If I ever replace the wheels on my 500 it's be with OZ's or Speedline's :)

No, i just got a bargain! Noticed the Abarth wheels have "Germany" stamped on the back, intriguing...

Think these fit the 500 too, like em?

The 17s will be up for sale soon!!
Did I mention that IainG GPS will soon have some rims for sale? Dude, if you want to sell your rims post in the classified section and stop trying to advertise them in here......

*Sad wheel whore alert*

The superturismo's are nice but I prefer the standard Superturismo WRC's (the white ones) and GT's (the silver ones) to the matt black one you posted. Not a huge fan of the red allegerita HLT's. Ultralegerra's are a nice enough looking rim though :)

If anyone thinks Sealobo paid a crapload for his rims you can pay a lot more!!!! http://fourstarmotorsports.com/Products/Wheels/Speedline/tabid/118/Default.aspx

Yeah I think the 500's wheels were made in Poland but I'll have to check again to make sure.

DraigFlag, do you still have the rims? Any other branding? Big companies like OZ and Speedline usually brand the wheels they provide for OEM's in some way though it may not be visible from the outside.

That is pretty interesting.

It means there made outwith the Panda/500/Ka factory and then imported in.

The Panda 100HP alloys are made in house in Poland.

I had a set of the Abarth wheels on my old GP that had all come off the same car, three were stamped made in France and one was stamped made in Poland!

Yeah they were identical in finish and colour match apart from the markings on the back.

All very light on paint mind, was'nt overly impressed with the quality of them.

Yeah paint quality on OEM rims is crap and there's usually only a dusting of lacquer. Damaged a rim on my car when I stacked them :bang:

I have no idea what the significance of the "OZ" badge is, and i'm sure 99.9% of the rest of the population won't either. They might just as well be Halfords chav specials for all I know.

These are the initials of the company's founders: Silvano Oselladore and Pietro Zen.

Personally and without being as harsh as a certain someone, I'll just say I am far from keen on them. Like wearing a pineapple on your head really, trying too hard to impress or show some personality just spoils the whole point. Still you get people turning their heads, but not for the reason you'd hope for. Plus there are so many more classy options from Fiat to personalize.....
Then again, it's only just my honest opinion, this is why you are you and I am me. :p

i am a bit function-over-form the kind of person... so when i chose a set of new wheels, it had to be light. The wheels would be worthless to me if it looks hands down sick but weight a ton.

by the way, i had one of this when i was in college... so you can say that i have special taste... :D

Not that i noticed, i'll flip one over in work today and inspect closer (y)

Anybody know what the weights of the original 15 and 16 inch Fiat 500 alloys are? I always thought the reason for alloys over steelies was weight reduction, but some of the weights mentioned on here have got me thinking, as to why the ride on my 2 year old 500 is so much worse that the ride on my 38 year old, live rear axled alfa (which has wheels that weigh around 6 kg on - I didn't realise that was so light, bought them cos they were replicas of the period race wheels, which where magnesium and and concidered dangerous to use in anger now)

16" Fiat Alloys DEFINITELY weigh more than 14" steelies. I don't know weights but let me put it this way.... I could carry two steelies with tyres no problem, with the alloys I thought I was going to give myself a flipping hernia......
