Bit the bullet this afternoon and ordered a black 1.2 Pop with A/C, red/black trim, ESP, rear head rests, chrome kit and vintage wheel trims.

My wife excited but slightly dismayed at delivery estimate but I am pleased to use scrappage...

Thanks to many here for help so far

Nick

Yes new stop start model and 16 week delivery

Hoped it would be here for my wife's birthday on 12th April but they think it very unlikely

Unfortunately 16 weeks are all the rage at the moment at Fiat! :p
I still am waiting for mine, 3 months almost to the day and have another month to go.
My neighbour got herself an Alfa Mito two weeks later than myself yet has had her car already, took 2 months for hers. :bang:

Hi all
My wife has just ordered a fiat 500 1.2 dual logic diesel and given a delivery date of 3-4 weeks not scrapsage

Sounds like you've ordered the same spec as a car which was already on its way to the UK.

I wonder then if it will be the old 75BHP model if it was an existing order instead of the new MJT2 with S&S version which it would have been if was new order?

Price paid should give the answer if the poster wishes to share that info.

Hi Grimwau
Thanks for in information we will ask the question and make it condition of sale as the deposit is refundable. As for price we paid list price as discounts and test drives are hard to get

I seem to remember someone saying that the new diesel engine was about £900 more than the previous version and I think that the Start and Stop is also extra money (even though you can't have it without on new orders). There is also the fact that the new 2010 500 has the improved rear suspension so you really would want the new model if you paid the current price on the configurator.

You have the right idea though, just check with the salesman as this might indeed be the new 2010 model that the dealership had ordered for themselves as a demonstrator. If so you have really been lucky to be able to get one without the average 16 week wait. (y)

Further to Grimwau's post
Suspension should look like this underneath if it's the improved suspension.

hi 306maxi The dealer has confirmed that the fiat 500 is a 2010 model with the revised suspension . My wife is waiting in anticipation of the delivery on the 1th march . Thanks for all the info . This is the second new car we have purchased in the last year or so from Thames Motor Group at Slough, no problems so far.
