Wot he said. Autosol and something slightly abrasive and it's all fine, it's just the salt doing its thing.Yep, is just surface. Get some Autosol & fine wire wool, after 5 mins it will be like new.
Not being funny mate but I see you live in Cornwall: am I right to assume you live not so far away from the sea? Or that you often visit the coast?Anyone elses tailpipe go rusty after a couple of months of ownership?

Yeah I live near enough to the coast but during the summer months the rust was very minimal, during winter when there is gritting going on it looks really bad.I presumed Maxi was talking about road salt?

I tend to use those non-scratch kitchen scourers. They're not scratchy like the normal dark green ones, seem to do the job. Also found out yesterday that an electric toothbrush is great for cleaning alloy wheelsGet some fine wire wool too, use it to apply the Autosol

As is a horse hoof brush, lol. (newish members won't be able to appreciate this remark, sorry.)
And the horses tend to complain less than the person whose electric toothbrush you use (Mrs Notts was livid).
I miss the old days.
Maybe Daniel doesn't need his toothbrush anymore .......... perhaps he is a Steradent man, lol.
