About £150 for a new key to be cut and coded or so I'm told.Really!....that's a bit poor. I thought all new cars came with two sets of remote keys! Don't suppose if anybody knows how much a second one would be to buy from the dealers?
Cheers Maxi...looks like i'll have to fork out another £150 then!About £150 for a new key to be cut and coded or so I'm told.
Do you really need another set though? Me and my wife just share the keys and it works out alrightCheers Maxi...looks like i'll have to fork out another £150 then!
hi
look on ebay you can find alarms fo the 500 made by meta.i bought one for £70.00,so you get a alarm and a meta alarm fob that has the same functions as the fiat one.

I don't know what other manufactuers do, but both my Vauxhalls came with 2 keys - but only one with a full remote keyfob
Our 2002 Mondeo came with just one remote key (we bought a second) but our 2007 S-Max came with two. Our Peugeot 406 and 306 both came with two remote keys and one non-remote. My 2002 Zafira came with two remote keys.
No no no!!!! Then the price of a 500 will go up another £150 or so more!!!!!!!!Interesting, my vauxhalls were 2003 Astra and 2002 Vectra.
Maybe there is enough of a market for Fiat to start supplying two fobs. But I know for a lot of people, one remote, and one normal key is sufficient.

It's only 1.1 miles away but I don't think the signal will reach that far.
You laugh but it does actually work!!!!Have you tried holding the fob to your temple and then pressing the button, it's supposed to increase the range, lol.
