Hopefully my new 1.3 bnw, black leather and interscope will be ready on the 23rd Jan :)

I would just like to know how many keys you get with your new 500 and if both of them are remotes for the doors and boot?

Thanks

Really!....that's a bit poor. I thought all new cars came with two sets of remote keys! Don't suppose if anybody knows how much a second one would be to buy from the dealers?

About £150 for a new key to be cut and coded or so I'm told.

hi
look on ebay you can find alarms fo the 500 made by meta.i bought one for £70.00,so you get a alarm and a meta alarm fob that has the same functions as the fiat one.

You beat me.
I got a gen fiat alarm.
Cat 1 and that comes with a remote as your picture.
but it cost me 200 fitted.
Oh and theres only one of me.:yum:

Do you really need another set though? Me and my wife just share the keys and it works out alright :)

Me and the missus do the same .. but normally I drive my car (500) and she drives hers. If we need to drive the other's car - we just swap keys.

I don't know what other manufactuers do, but both my Vauxhalls came with 2 keys - but only one with a full remote keyfob

Our 2002 Mondeo came with just one remote key (we bought a second) but our 2007 S-Max came with two. Our Peugeot 406 and 306 both came with two remote keys and one non-remote. My 2002 Zafira came with two remote keys.

Interesting, my vauxhalls were 2003 Astra and 2002 Vectra.

Maybe there is enough of a market for Fiat to start supplying two fobs. But I know for a lot of people, one remote, and one normal key is sufficient.

No no no!!!! Then the price of a 500 will go up another £150 or so more!!!!!!!! :p

I don't understand why two people need a key for the car when it can only be driven by one person at a time. We have 2 cars and we just take whichever key is appropriate for the car we are driving. We have 2 remotes for the Peugeot but in 5 years of owning it we have never once used the second fob. Why do I need another remote key for it if Mrs Notts is in the 500 shopping at Tesco's? It's only 1.1 miles away but I don't think the signal will reach that far.
