i think im confused by the fact that a car has been ordered by you, but you say you are unsure about paying for it-

the dealer will still look after it after purchase- thats after care!

or are you having second thoughts about the whole thing?

My ideal scenario would be to pick up the car this weekend in mint condition.

The next preferable scenario would be to pick up the car with the problem that dealer says "there's not a lot we can do about it" and pay a discounted amount in line with the cost to get any futher repairs.

Two scenarios I am trying to avoid are:
  1. Picking up the car in an unsatisfactory condition and have to pay full price
  2. Having to walk away from deal
I appreciate all the advice given here it's has helped put things in perspective and given me a clearer idea of where my expectations should lie and what I can and can't expect from the dealer.

In another thread.

If the dealer signs something which says "Here are these faults and we agree to fix them" then they're going to have a job weaseling out of things.

Just read the other thread and seems he has a right to bitch and whine about a couple of things. The scratches are just stupid and avoidable. The valeter just needs just needs clean cloths - no excuse. It's got two door handles and one is ****ed.

If you can afford a 250 grand Bentley it's all relative anyway as it is probably the same proportion of your wealth as a 500 is to others. So that's ********

reference the registration of your car, I would not worry about this too much, but I would not be pressured into accepting the car within 10 days. If they are going to rectify the problems within the 10 days, then no bother.

Regarding what seems to be the common suggestion to accept the car and try and sort it out later, I wouldn't! If your not happy they fix it before you accept it in my eyes. The warranty is something different all together.

Most of the faults you described in the previous thread sound as if they have been caused by the dealers poor preperation of the car.

Just because other people have 2nd rate quality standards, doesnt mean you need too.

£10k is alot of money in my eyes, and I am sure 99.9% of people would agree
