Tell me..is this really worth it. does it really protect your paintwork from the elements..can you do it yourself..ie polishing.waxing..

We got it for free on our 500, both interior and exterior. On both counts if I had paid for it I would not be impressed, ended up waxing the car properly myself within 6 weeks of buying the car as the finish when even washed and leathered properly without anything else was not up to scratch and the interior treatment doesnt work well either got some marks appeared on the seats which will be my next warranty visit after it goes in for blue me to be checked next week (although the supaguard kit they give you isnt to bad, pretty impressed with how well the car wash sachets work at removing dirty)

Don't bother with it. As the saying goes, "it's not worth the paper it's written on!" I tried cleaning the cream coloured leather in the Smart I just bought this week, using the leather care kit. I may as well have been using plain water for all the good it did. We've stopped offering Supaguard for sale at our garage, despite the profit potential! As already mentioned, buy a good well known polish.

Aaaaand breathe! :D

I was asked if I wanted to purchase Supagard on my last new car and declined. I then found the kit for this on ebay for £15! The dealer had a delay at the last minute on my delivery and so applied my kit for free, but really it wasn't that good.
I have found the same as other people here, that some decent wax works really well.
Lots of good waxes around these days.

Yeah some decent wax makes a big difference. I think I waxed my car about 6-8 weeks ago and it cleaned up really easy today. Far far far easier than when I didn't have any wax on it at all.
