HI all newbie here, thought id register as ive just tested a Black Abarth 500

currently toying with a black one with chequered roof in white and white abarth down the sides

£14450 - minus my trades one scrapper and one golf gti 7450 to swop

do you think a 6.1 bloke looks ok in them lol ??

the drive is very nice and black it looks more meaty, or should i go white or grey ?? choices choices lol

anyways what ya think ??

dont rush into choosing the colour ..... you know what they say about marrying in haste etc. I wish I'd taken a bit longer to try to see decent pictures of the cars in the various colours available but I did'nt so by the time I had changed my mind it was too late

Betty my dealer has grey, white and black available all in the flesh

im toying with white after seeing a few pics and ive already gone of the check roof - 6 months i'll proberly remove it as its just a fad

just want a new toy after being let down with a seat leon FR

Sounds nice, just remember the Sunroof option lowers the roof clearance inside by around 2 inches.

Dont know if that applies to an abarth, but knowing your height, its a consideration

I'm 5"11.5' and I fit in ok, and I don't think I look stupid so I don't see why you would!

My personal opinion is that I don't like the grey, it's white with red/black strips or black with white stripes for me! Mine is the classic white and red stripes

The previous poster is right though, you need to give it a lot of thought before you make the jump, because you can't change it when it's done!

It's the same in an Abarth.

I'm around your hieght too, the driving position is for Italians so it's never going to be perfect, legs around your ears, or arms stretched out too far, the choice is yours! No it's not that bad, you get used to it. I personally like the White with red stripes, just looks right to me. I'd also recommend the leather, it's very high quality. A few pics of mine for you (thread hi-jack alert!)

the thing is you can get hung up on what other people like instead of just going with what you like.
I ordered Funk White then saw TechHouseC's Tech House Grey 'C' and thought it looked ace and really wished I could have changed it. Have a good look at each colour and consider the different ways they'll look with stripes etc before you bite the bullet

i deffo was hooked on the black and im going white, problem is the whites arent fully prep t eg wheel trims and stickers on off etc

the black one is fully prep t and in the showroom

im buying one 2morro so its a tonight thing to sort my choice out, i dont want leather i like the normal trim, leather for me is hot in summer and cold in winter so normal trim for me

Are you serious? I think you need choose carefully, don't just make a random decision over a few pictures! Make sure it's definitely what you want and consider alternative car choices, not just stripe combo's!

but you cant have an abarth:yum: in yellow.

I put a vote in for grey personally Looks good in black but I reckon it needs red trim to brighten it up a bit, but 5 petals all the way no matter the colour.
I'm 6'3 and have no real issues but did stop me from having the roof options and it is definately only a 3 seater with me behind the wheel.

Sorry to go against tradition but I just Love the Black Abarth, sorry Havaska, I do love yours but you know my tastes are all about the black.

Something menacing about a newly cleaned and shiney black car, especially with the decals you mentioned.

Quite like the grey though imagine it doesn't look half as sharp as a newly waxed black 500!

yeah very serious - i was after my 1st choice Seat Lean FR TDI but cant get one so the abarth is 2nd choice

im 50/50 white or black like i said my dealer as black with white and white check roof, if it was red decals it would look better

i want this car within 3 weeks currently waiting for plate transfers from both my cars so lets hope the dvla get on with it

going back today make my choice

Bought Abarth in white with 17" 10 spokes and climate

red mirrors and red abarth decals

£14200 as white is free minus 7k trade in - so its a waiting game for dvla to provide me with docs for reg transfer and were away

Did the dealer have one in stock or is it an order? I got lucky with mine and only had to wait about 2 and a half months!

If it's already there you're lucky! I spent all that waiting time looking at them on the internet and wishing it was here.

dealer has 2 white. 1 red, 2 black all diffo specs - this is research in nuneaton midlands

friend is 2nd in command so they let me have one on scrappage so all good as they normally only let you have them on scrappage with 12 week orders

like i said dvla get the plates sorted and its mine 2 days later broom broom

yeah cant wait new toys
