General spotlights...?

General spotlights...?

:ROFLMAO: @ another DRL thread they all end the same way

there are 3 problems here

- people who don't know how to drive
- dealers that do not give proper instruction in the cars features
- laziness in reading the manual

I got a new camera at the weekend, a full blown digital SLR with adjustable everything. Only a secondhand one but a good one nonetheless.
Being familiar with use of a camera I used it in full Auto mode and it worked well.
When I got home I read the quick start guide and learned some more about the great features and how to configure the camera.
I also leafed through the full handbook and I plan to go out at the weekend with the handbook and explore the full functionality.

If I can do this with a £160 camera why can't people do the same with a £10000 car
OT, what did you get Rob? I tend to keep mine in Auto most of the time as I'm a bit lazy but with digital SLR's you'll get a lot out of playing around with whitebalances and so on.

I've been intending to get a DSLR for some time now as I've not used my old Minolta 35mm SLR for some time and I miss having a decent camera, anyway when I get it if I have any questions I'll ask here rather than look in the manual, is that OK? ;)

a Nikon D70 with 18-70mm lens. Looking or a 200mm lens at the mo.
Will probably upgrade to a D90 next year but I thought the D70 would get my foot in the water.

nice camera. I've got a D70s which has a slightly bigger screen and slightly fast autofocus. The kit lens (18-70) is a cracking lens.

If there's one bit advice I can give you it would be to watch the reds as the D70 likes to exaggerate them a bit like this

A coupe of my favourite photos I've taken with it :)

Personally I wouldn't bother upgrading to a D90. It's not really that much better, I'd go for a used D200 or D300. Costs more but well worth it.

did your wife know you'd borrowed her Subaru that day maxi ?
You joke but I did actually do some donuts in the wifes car in a snowy car park earlier this year. Shhhhhh be quiet about it though :p

4wd donuts are a truly joyful thing :D

as for the nikon owners, good choice, ill post up some pics i took at a drift meet last month when i dig out the photos. ive had my D700 almost 12 months now. saving for a 14-24 F2.8 which should compliment my 24-70 and 70-200

You ****tard! You and your Australian sun :p I love living in the UK but Australia did make for far better photos with all the light. All my decent photos were taken anywhere other than in the UK :p
