General ye ye green

Hi there

why not try fiat.co.uk and search the used section. There's a Fiat Direct section and there are some nearly new Punk Grey 500's, which also disappeared about the same time as Ye Ye Green so they may have some in stock.

Hope this helps.

Steve

Hello, i'm getting pretty close to getting a fiat now...reckon i have settled on my first choice of Ye Ye green, however i have not seen one in the flesh for a few years! is there anyone out there who will show me theirs:) so i can be sure its what i want. I am near Glastonbury. Thanks.

That's not fair, i have a million comebacks to that but have reached the age where i'm supposed to be a lady....;)

IMO the best ever colour for the 500 and a perfect complement to the retro stylng, though it needs 14" steelies to complete the look. Not particularly popular at the time and one of the first colours to be discontinued, they usually fetch a premium now.

I agree. I did the typical woman thing of seeing something i wanted, then went and looked at everything else only to be back where i started! I really get the retro look you like ( we have a mk3 cortina) but was thinking maybe lowering it a bit, and possibly get a set of multi spokes(?) sprayed white. Just got to save a bit more.....

Here you go!!!!!!

Fantastic! I love it, if only i had a granny to sell........

Doesn't work for me - that car would look better in just about any other colour.

Ye ye is all about keeping the retro look & needs steel wheels - even putting multispokes on it ruins the effect.

A perfect example of a 500 looking good in Ye Ye is Poppy

This is the kind of look I think it's trying to copy:

Having owned a standard looking (not standard engine:)) 100e, i know my OH will agree with jrkitching and he has been trying to steer me that way, thats why i will not show him Poppy. However, i do like to be a little different and i think having white wheels will quench that. The picture posted by rui is a lot different, and just thinking of myself sat in that at the local traffic lights, applying lipstick in the rear view mirror brings a big silly grin to my face:D
