It's a perceived class thing. It's just a really classless way of showing you've got a bit of money. It seems that some people just can't bear the thought of being out in public without people knowing how rich they are etc etc and buy big knobbish cars like this. Then there are the people who just like cars like for instance the MD's brother at the place I used to work at who had an F430 Spider and ......... a Grande Punto for just pottering around in or when it was winter.

Personally if I was rich I'd have a few nice cars but I'd prefer cars which fly under the radar so to speak or which aren't blingey

4x4s should not be allowed - use too much fuel,take up too much space and people who drive them think they own the road just like the BMW drivers.
