Hey

I have this day made an order for a new 500 .! Our first new car *ever*

Spec :
Fiat 500 1.3 Diesel Lounge
Bossa Nova white
Black ambience/Black leather
16" O spoke alloys
Blue&Me Sat Nav
Fog lights
Rear spoiler
Chrome 'A' bar and bonnet stripe
Italian flag on front wing

I have been quoted 11 weeks delivery - I'm scrapping our old car too.

I have 3 questions I hope the good people of the forum can help us with :

Blue & Me Sat Nav
o I have asked them to confirm this is factory fitted not a dealer accessory - am I right that it should be from the factory there will be a dash mount with integral charging cables etc. (As apposed to the dealer-fit windscreen mounted with cable to charge it) Am I right .?

Rear spoiler
o I am told this will come primed from the factory and be painted and fitted by the dealer. *Surely* this can be factory fitted and factory painted .?

Order tracking
o I have seen posts here and the Fiat.co.uk Forum saying they are tracking their order - I have an order number - where do I track it please .?

You need to call the dealer for your status code (to track it) - although mine didn't even know what one was so don't count your chickens.
Blue and Me is fitted at the Factory, but I have no idea on the spoiler I'm afraid...

The Blue&Me Sat Nav add-on I was referring to - some talk of a different version for the Sat Nav to integrate - but more the physical socket in the dash and associated hidden wiring.
 
The dash mounting point is a factory fit but I'm fairly sure the physical map unit comes from your dealer, a 50/50 effort as you can (or at least could) order the fitting point without the actual map unit. Not unusual for styling bodykit parts to be fitted by dealers, most brands do this.

Be aware there are two different Nav devices;
1) Blue & Me NAV; this is integrated in the speed meter and only uses signs
2) Blue & Me MAP; the mapversion works with a dash mount or windscreenmount. the dash mount is from the factory

Yes,

In Holland:
Blue & Me Nav = option 55Y

Blue & Me Map Dash Mount = option 54K

And the navigation device
=Blue & me Map Navigator = partnumber 7180427
Above that you need the UK SD Card with the UK maps​

 
To complete this thread :

The car was delivered yesterday - so 4 weeks longer than I was quoted - from Vospers Truro.

The Sat Nav - Blue & Me Map - is integrated in the dash - and I have started a B&M thread with a couple of questions.

The spoiler was fitted by the dealer - fit is fine - I would have to say that the paint colour is one half or one shade different - but you really wouldn't notice unless someone told you to look and then to try and see a colour difference - but I post it here in case future readers are interested. In fact I would say the mirrors are the same 1/00th of a shade out too - maybe it's the paint on plastic.

There was little verging on no order tracking given - I did ask a couple of times but there was no refering to the code numbers - it was 'it's not built, it's not built, it's not built, they started to build it, it's in the country, it's ready for delivery' and only when I asked.

My biggest ar53-ache is the rear number plate fitted with 4 cr4ppy self-tappers that will surely go rusty any day soon - very slap-dash - not even got yellow covers on the heads - cr4p.

I'll be back with more questions soon no doubt - 3 x Blue & Me questions already running 8-----o

surely they can get the colour right with reguard to spraying the item... and your lucky the rear number plate is secured using the 4 pre drilled factory holes.... most seem to be drilled on straight through the tailgate, next to the pre drilled holes! nice, not.... you will prob be able to put some cover caps on the screws your self....
