After about 20000 km I started hearing liquid sounds in the car... I thought it was sound from the fuel tank, but I was not...

Today I drained about 5 litre clean water from the body when I removed 4 rubber plugs..

I will take the car to the dealer on Monday!

My car have body kit...

Sorry about my English.

Could you take a picture of the rubber bungs/ plugs?

Check video in my pictures

Why are these Bungs in there. Surly they should be removed to allow water out and air in to ventalate the area.

Other car's don't normally have bungs there as far as I'm aware. They nto something that should be removed upon delivery from dealer

I imagine during manufacture/construction there are reasons why leaving access holes may be part of the design, perhaps for access/inspection.

You will find them in many different parts of a car, eg. bulkhead as LHD and RHD cars will use the same bulkheads but require different holes for steering columns and brake/clutch mechanisms etc.

Afterwards rubber bungs are inserted to prevent water from entering from the outside.

The idea of them being there to allow water to be let out is ridiculous, any areas where water is known to enter body panels eg. the doors, tailgate and in some cases the bonnet and sunroof there are holes left to allow water to drain out.

The simple fact here is that water should not be present in the sills and that the bungs are not there for the purpose of letting water out.

How would water even get into the sills? The only drainage points I'm aware of are the bonnet and boot areas and the bottoms of the doors, which drain out into the outside of the door sills a little bit.

The holes are probably there for wax injection/undersealing. Hence why they put bungs in afterwards.

No no no. Sills on ALL cars (except posibly anphibous ones :p) have holes in to allow moisture/condensation out.

Hence why I'm confused / worried as to why there are bungs on the 500's holes.

Have all 500's got these? Can people go and check their car's please :p
