Hmmm....well, I managed to disconnect the lever from the vents whilst installing a phone holder

I've found the thread about removing the stereo but before I do that I'm wondering if anyone knows if the vents come out any other way?

My dealer is happy to do attempt it (it will be the first they've done) but I don't want to lose the car for a day. I'm happy to leave it until the first service if I can't do it myself.

Has anyone done this - or know of a link to a pic?

I did something similar to mine, you need to remove the sterio (I take it
you know how to do this) to get to the screws for the vent ,take out the screws and carefully prize the vent out it has a couple of hidden press in clips at the top, when you get the panel off the vent controls press back on a treat and reassemble
the way it came off ,care full not to push the levers back off.
