General Fiat 500: Designed by an eleven year-old

There's red 500 in Sheffield that may have been designed by a Young lad, has a small yellow "46" sticker just below each rear side window and then on the rear bump is says in multi coloured letters

"The Doctor"

Can't think for the life of me who this car is a Homage to:rolleyes:

And this arrived in the post this morning. Not quite a perfect match, but not bad....

now that is nice - i especially like the fact you've not gone for the chrome bumper inserts- makes the car look very sporty - and supprisingly quite expensive.(y)

Ta. After a bit of debate, we both thought it looked a bit better without chrome trim. Still with the retro character but a slightly more modern look. And dabbling with 1970s Italian and Brit motors has taught me that no good can come of unnecessary chrome.;)

Are you going to be showing it off at stanford hall this weekend?
It would be great to be there, but the weekend's already booked up with other stuff - including my first game of competitive cricket for nearly 15 years. I'm quite nervous about that.

Definitely plan on joining an organised run as soon as one comes up on a manageable date.

OMG
This sounds just like my situation.
Limited down new car choice to 2 cars. Suzuki Swift diesel and 500 Diesel.
I was going for the Swift, but my 10 year old was so keen on the 500 (as was the wife and 7 year old daughter) I changed my mind at the last minute.
The 18000 mile service interval (compared to 9000) and better economy by about 5mpg helped too!
My boy has had input into config, but just an approval really.
Also losing hair and my first car was an Alfasud that rusted away - spooky!
Ordering it tonight!

Nice story.

With two young daughters I am just very glad that we got ours ordered just prior to the introduction of the 500 Pink.....;)
