General 500 Abarth slow selling?

Co2 is 155Kg/km easy enough info to find and as to the Mito engine, which engine are you talking about? The current 1.4s are all derivatives of the 1.4 FIRE engine which the Fiats/Abarths all currently use or are you talking about the new 1.8 GTA engine which again is a Fiat based engine? I wouldn't expect it to be too long before a fire breathing GP is released from either stable. Won't see it in the 500 though, just wouldn't fit :D.
Yeah I was referring to a mid-engined fantasy a few posts up, dont stick in the heavy GM V6, put in the new 1.8 tjet engine if your going to build a mid-engined clio thing, not that they will. Not driven one yet, but I would assume also that 160bhp in a 900kg car is more than enough for somefun (tm)... Someone else recently said to check out the Abath italy site, might do that now, ta.

TBF....If you live in the north then any abarth is a non starter...who can be arsed to drive 200 miles trip for a service or the inevitable warranty work..especially as inline with all dealers you can bet they'd make you go back another day.

Richard Hardie Fiat at the Silverlink Retail Park in Wallsend will be opening an Abarth franchise in a couple of months.

sorry to be an arse but what have bentley got to do with fiat ? there owned by the vw group

White, I think olopboy was just quoting this as an example of how, if any of the manufacturers join the scheme then every other marque owned by the group has to become a part of the scheme.

eg. if BMW join then Rolls Royce have to, if VW join then Bentley have to and if Fiat join then Ferrari have to.

This spot on and no offense taken.

Thanks for the good net ventriloquism act grimwau (y) been busy with Stanford stuff and hadn't been on.

We spoke to our dealer at the weekend, his next delivery date for a factory order is September, & hes desperate for more cars so I dont think they are selling badly. At Goodwood on Sunday someone was desperate to buy ours as they couldnt get one quickly anywhere. Its reasuring when the car market is in such a state that the model is bucking the trend & some are still trading for over list.

Havn't read the whole post but on the subject of the Abarth being slow selling......I ventured down to Stanford Hall yesterday and there were more Abarths the normal 500's on the fiat forum stand.

And everyone was test driving them, but that doesn't mean they were buying them i suppose
