Hello, my first post!

Just sealed a deal yesterday for a new 500 Lounge 1.2 using the scrappage allowance on my old car. Bonza. I got this spec as it happened to be in the show room so no three month wait!

Lounge 1.2 (standard kit)
Electroclash Grey
Black chequered cloth
16" multispoke wheels
Dark Tinted rear Windows
Side rubbing strips with logo
Chrome door mirrors
Leather Gear Knob
Interscope HiFi
Front Fog Lights
Reverse Parking Sensors

All for a staggering £8,650 (OTRP from website is £11,285 - just over 23% dicount) As suspected the Fiat dealership were tight as a ducks rear end with regard to deals but caved in a little after several eternals; when we got on to scrappage allowance they nearly soiled their trousers.

I can't say I would have gone for all those options off the bat; however not having to wait three months or so is great plus the extras such as the sound system will be fun and the price was great!

In terms of the scrappage allowance I think that is quite possibly the first thing I have ever had from the Government worth having!

That will look superb, there's one in that colour in my local dealers in that colour and it's very nice indeed. It might even be the same dealer and same car you've bought!
The scrappage thing is giving some people a very good deal indeed, you and me included.

Thats a stonking deal for a nice coloured car with all those options! Well done! Of course we need pics to be posted when you get it home!

Not sure how you managed to get a further £635 off on top of the scrappage, but well done you !

It took some doing I can tell you, lots of going off to the manager and back again. Just got the deal done and then it was, right on to the scrappage reduction. He looked at me like his mother had just crawled out of my nose.

Lots more back to the manager, no no can't do that but in the end they did. Picking it up on Thursday! Already filling up a memory stick with mp3's to listen to on the drive back from the dealer.

Should have asked for one to be thrown in as part of the deal, just to make it a deal clincher

Dont put too much music on or it wont have built the track index by the time you've got home!

Garage just phoned to say the parking sensors didn't arrive yesterday and as they have to be sprayed etc. will have to wait to pick the car up 'till tomorrow

Still we are getting them free inc. the fitting so can't complain too much...
