Green with red seats. Fantastic. Sooooo charming, so unusual, so smart. Black :yuck: Everybody has black seats: how dull is that! If you want retro go for red; the sixties loved colour, and people had fun (y) Beige, black, grey, white - the 'colours' of now. Ugh :cry::cry:

MissR - thanks; this thread is a few weeks old and I got my green one in the end (see other post -no longer - mouring the departureof Ye ye green!!
Ulpian - yeah, there's a difference between having fun and buying something that looks plain wrong. Green / red int? Not good. :D

No....green and red are fun. I remember an old green Alvis with gorgeous red leather seats. Terribly smart. Pre war luxury cars were very colourful; now its all black, or maybe cream. Dull. The 500 is a poppet and as such can get away with any colour combination (except for some of those graphics:eek:), but 'safe' grey in two shades of safe is just a bit dreary.

Frighten the horses :D

I bought mine when they first came out and got the YeYe Green! I love it and think its a really great colour. People are always skeptical when I tell them the colour of my car but as soon as they see it, it's an instant hit. I'ts a shame Fiat have stopped these colours although I do like the fact that it makes mine more special and rare!

Love the photos - it is a really beautiful colour which suits the car really well and particularly love the tan interior. Such a shame it is not available anymore and have been imagining this ye ye green/tan leather interior combination on the new 500c. With a tan roof (also not an option) it would be fantastic. Oh well....

Anybody bored of a ye ye wanna sell it to me?? :)

Hi Doodledonna,

Have you had a look at the Auto Trader website? I just took a look now and searched for all 500s with National under the search criteria, then I selected green as the colour.

There is one Ye Ye Green 1.2 Lounge up for sale on there. A 2008 model which is £7,500. An insane price really but I guess that is what happens when you have a colour that is really, really wanted by some people!

Hi!
Thanks, I did look, and it's an automatic. Also saw an almost identical one in carcraft which is automatic too.... Want a manual for y first car or I'll never have used a clutch! (Carcraft's website price is 8499 but inshore said 9999!! Insane prices for a 5 yr old car)

Thanks though
D

This is a colour which is much more popular now than when it was in production.

Sadly it had already been discontinued by the time I ordered mine, otherwise I'd have opted for it. IMO it is the colour which best brings out the retro feel of the 500.

The most retro current colour is probably new age cream, but personally speaking, I'd say it's only a pale shadow in comparison to YeYe.

It seems that YeYe 500's are already becoming collectable - if you've a good one, it could be worth your while to look after it...
