General Different engine, colour?

General Different engine, colour?

I wish they hadn't ditched the 'old' blue, and that lovely green - and the mouse 'brown/grey', which I adore...

Two metallic greys are a bit, er, umm, welll....grey.

The NO blue works well on, erm, the GP. Sorry. I DO like it, but now that the sun has come out...

I'm having big problems deciding on the colour I want when 'my' engines arrive. They've already killed my two favourites, which leaves - white!

And the yellow is not quite 'milky' enough.

Am I the only one who finds the 500 to be the hardest car yet built to find the right colour for?

Very happy with both (1.2 Mod blue) although I admit the new darker gray looks fine too (Electroclash I think its called)...
I would have loved the mod blue but sadly it's gone. Would have been cool as my dads 500f is in the same colour. Oh well white is good.

Really pleased with engine choice (diesel) however I did have a limited test drive in the 1.2 only but wanted the added economy(?) and torque of a diesel. Love the calypso orange and it is now an extremely rare colour about here. Disappointed that Fiat have stopped it and the other colours too.I saw a Punk Grey car some time ago at local dealers and it looked fabulous. Maybe they will bring in some more exciting colours in time as I am not really that keen on the present ones.

love mine and really pleased we chose calypso orange, we spent a lot of time choosing the colour.

Shame it's been discontinued, but makes ours even more special, I've only ever seen one other and that was N500's which he has now sold :(

I wish I'd have gone for either Mod Blue, Punk Grey or YeYe Green (Is that what it's called?) and I also wish I had gone for the tan leather. :bang:

Of the old colours I like Yeye Green, Jive Blue & Calypso Orange equally.

Of the new colours I only REALLY like Camponola Grey (I think that's how it's spelt) on the Abarth's, problem is you can't get Ivory trim so I'm stuck with what my next 500 will be.

To be honest, at this time the spec I have suits me just fine. I love it.

I wouldn't change my colour but even though I think the diesel is the nicest of all the engines when driving I will definitely be buying a petrol version next time. I'm hoping that the SGE - 900cc Twincylinder Turbo with multiair will be available in early 2010, before my car is two years old as that is my preferred option. Failing that I will be looking to get a 1.2 instead.

This is purely based on my experiences with the DPF and not the engine itself but as the two are inseparable.......
