Our new Fiat 500 is fantastic and turns a lot of heads, but I have a slight issue with the Instrument Panel brightness in daylight. I just cannot read the fuel gauge and other info on the display. I have turned the dimmer option to max setting, but in daylight it is still very poor. Any suggestions anybody?

Sorry nothing you can do will make it any better - you just have to live with it.

The only time you shouldn't be able to see it is in direct sunlight. Mine is visible, even on the brightest days, as long as the sun isn't shining directly on it. If there is direct sunlight upon it, it will appear blanked out, this is a common problem with screens like that. It would be the same as trying to use a laptop outdoors in the sunshine.

It should, however, still be visible during normal daylight conditions. Mine is perfectly clear.

What Lloyd said... never had any probs seeing mine. Even if direct sunlight does wipe it out now and again, its only going to be intermittent anyway, and you dont need to constantly check the temp and fuel level!
