I need some advice please peoples :)

Am thinking about a possible upgrade and woould like to see some info about the 500 Abarth. Where can I find this info?

I would like (if there is one) to see some sort of brochure or website that shows me the different interior/exterior options like they do with the normal 500.

I dont really want to go and talk to a dealer about this as I'm not thinking of buying one until this time next year.

Any advice :D

I have the standard fabric seats, so if you want a pic let me know and I'll post one up.

Well I'd say do it but I'm biased. it's in italian but here is a config, the UK site doesn't have one. config

There isn't really a brochure but there is a leaflet that you should be able to request from Abarth UK - 0800 2227 8400

Check my sig for a link to my car. Same grey as Sikersh but I have the red leather interior. It is slightly darker in the flesh I'll pop up another few pics on it later (on the laptop atm).

Further advice, don't drive it until you are close to purchase time, it'll drive you bonkers waiting.

The leather really is worth the money if you can budget for it, it is fantastic quality.

If you look at the red leather seats in my pics thread the black ones replace the silver centre stripes for red and the stitching as Alex said is picked out in red as well. I'll pop some front on pics on my car thread when I get home from work so you can see what I mean more clearly.

the interior is what put me off buying one they drive nice and sound nice but i couldn't even force myself into putting up with the interior unfortunately if you don't like black and red on everything you'r stuffed even the upgrade to leather is 2 tone also i didn't like the boost guage location why didn't they leave it like the lhd versions but obviously on the other side ?can you spec the car without the guage?

you don't even notice the boost gauge when driving....when your driving the abarth you won't be looking at your dashboard and seats ;)

Oddly people complained they couldn't see it so they moved it, and no you can't not have it. Have to say it was nearly a deal breaker for me when I first saw the RHD version but sikersh's right you really don't notice it. So glad I didn't throw my toys out the pram would have been a huge mistake :D

So what don't you like about the interior? it's not really that different from the other 500s barring the wheel and leather on the cowl.

the thing i didn't like about it was that everything inside (other than the actual dash)is black with red stitching or black with red lines and there is no option (other than a full custom re-trim) to have it any different even with leather the seats arn't completely red or black, and the boost pod to me look's like it came from halford's. not everyone want's an interior to look like that ! i think the standard 500 with leather is a lot more sophisticated if they gave the option of no boost pod and offered a lux version like on the clio 197 where it's not so "racey" inside and more of a classy feel i would be ordering now.. at the end of the day you sit inside and look at all the interior all the time. i like the A500 but not it's inteior

fair play.

fiat wanted the abarth to be completely different than a standard 500, a bit more 'sporty' and as you say 'racey'. the dark interior sets the mood of the car, it feels a lot more serious. when i test drove the abarth i didn't really properly notice the interior  the way the car drove was much more important to me.

so no i havent thrown toy's out the pram :)

I was purely refering to myself, you should have seen my reaction when the first RHD pictures first showed up :D

As to the rest, well it's going to get a mid life make over at some point and I'd have thought more colour options like the normal 500s, personally I'd really have liked one in broom yellow with blue seats.

Only thing I will disagree with is the other manufactureres comment, having been in a lot of cars recently the defaults for the 'sporty' versions do appear to involve red stitching and dark roof linings for nearly all of them. I love being a child of the 80's

Broom yellow was just THE perfect colour wasnt it? I always wanted either a cinque, a sei or a punto like my mate's sporting in it. Never had one tho! Maybe theyll bring it back!
