Hi all

Have ordered a fiat 500 in breakbeat grey now wondering was this a mistake?! Love the white in theory but head ruled heart when considering how hard would be to keep clean. Saw a grey in the showroom and did look good but am now doubting myself. Anyone seen a 500 in this colour? Any advice?

V confused!!

Thanks guys. Pictures do look good. Dealer freaked me out a bit saying they only sell 2 out of every 100 in grey! Each to their own I guess. Can't wait to get it now!!
:D

i like that color!do you think you'll be going down the modifying route?i think rear tints, sprayed black alloys and a little black stripe just above the sill would look the dogs!

As soon as I put my order in I got doubts over my colour option.. I settled on the Pasadoble Red,, but for most of my musings over the 500, was intending on going with Black, but when I saw it in the flesh, didnt feel that it sold the style of the car. I really wanted ye ye green, but that option was not available. So decided to go with the red as it was for me the only other option, as not keen on the white shades, or yellow, and the new blue although lovely... again made it seem like every other car on the road to me..

I think we will love whatever colour it comes in to be honest.... and there will always be a few doubts about what if.... but I can't wait to see my new car in approx 8 weeks now, and you will love yours too.x

It's silver in all but name. I've seen one in the flesh and wished I had chosen that colour over the black that I did go for. It looks great especially with the chrome. Anybody who has ever owned a silver car will know that they hide a multitude of sins. As one dealer said to me the last time I was debating over my choice of colour for a new car, "Bring a black one back to me in 3 years time and it will be covered in chips and scratches. Silver will still look like a new car".

Think I will go for the chrome bonnet strip to liven it up a bit. Don't want it to blend in with all the other silver cars on the road! Never thought about a black strip but just spec'd it on the configurator and does look pretty cool - i presume this can be added on after?

Feeling better about my choice now. Thanks everyone! So many decisions, love the car and really don't want any regrets when i get it. My first choice would have been ye ye green if it was still available.

Ordered 2 weeks ago but haven't heard from the dealer since. Is this normal? First time I have bought a car brand new so a bit clueless when it comes to these things!

That grey is nice, there are lots of whites (of both types) on the road so it'll be nice to stand out from the crowd.

It's normal to hear nothing from your dealer until they've got something to tell you. You can add to your order in the first few weeks so if you want the black stripe factory fitted then contact your dealer for them to amend the order. Expect to wait 6-12 weeks for delivery of your car.

Enjoy the wait by coming on here and reading all about the car!

hi, i was considering thr break beat grey when ordering, but decided not too, because of the extra cost, and its not a bright silver, which it should be, in my opinion... went for bossa nova white, its is the only "free" colour! but yes, she gets dirty all the time at the mo, with the wet weather, but regular washing and t cut and polishing, she looks showroom condition... just as she should be! im happy with my colour choice. cheers...:yum:

I think it is an advantage that they only sell a few of that colour, makes it more special!! Ours is Calypso Orange, which wasn't very popular and is now discontinued, however lots of people who have seen it said if they had seen one in the flesh they would have chosen it!!

There's one in breakbeat in the next village to me. Think it really suits the car and it always seems to look clean.

Think everyone gets nervous after placing "the order". I had to look and dutch and italian auto trader websites to see real 'life' photos of my colour before ordering it - the Fiat configurator made it look the most boring of colours, but in real life it is fantastic!!

Mine is metallic too and it does add that je ne sais quoi to the car!
