Hi all new member here, waiting for my 09 Abarth to arrive!!!!! have got now a red 1.4 sport and decided to go for the launch abarth!!!!

had mine 2 weeks now - not a single fault, no teething troubles and the car is fantastic...you'll love it

Thanks, whats the stereo like? did you go for essesse?
The stereo is impressive as a standard unit. It gets the interscope system as standard and works very well. I tend to find myself driving round with the stereo turned off most the time and listening to the exhaust! I'm sure you'll be impressed with the car as a whole.
I'm looking forward to the Interscope Stereo as I think the standard 500 sound system is quite good....but, I'll prob end up doing what you do and just listen to the exhaust
yes i can back that up - the interscope system is really very, very good. but as with alex, i have it off most of the time as the car sounds so good.

Nice, another Launch Ed. I've only had mine a week, loving it like mad! Not sure how good the sound is as i don't really like music (weird i know) the Blue & Me will never be used either, or the USB but it's there if i need it! I prefer the loud turbo whine at 60 MPH, when you floor it, it sounds like a spitfire! And the back fires are awesome, great way of getting people to look at your car round town! Spent £80 on fuel so far in a week, need to refuel again soon....It's worth it though.
I prefer listening to my thoughts, I'm quite a pensive person, but the exhaust/turbo noise ain't bad eitherPraps you should try podcasts or a nice talking book draig
shame coz I luv the usb thingamibobbyjobby, its one of my fave bits of the car! Mind you I havent got the Abarth character to listen to everytime I steam off anywhere!
I don't know what to do with it? Put a memory stick with music on it i guess, oh wait i don't own any....hmmm....engine noise it is then!
Hey maybe you could record me the driving noise of the abarth and I could play it from my usb stick while Im driving my 1.2!

Nah, the 1.4 Sport is a closer sound to the Abarth
The Abarth sounds amazing, you can go on Youtube and hear it, but it doesn't beat hearing it for real

I'm sure you will love your Abarth. Mine is probably very close to being my most favourite car. The multispoke alloys are a pain to clean though.
I learned that with my current 500 which has the 16" multi-spoke alloys, they take longer to clean than the car itself
I've ordered my Abarth with the 17" 5-spoke Petal alloys, not just out of laziness, also because they look brill
The sport alloys are nice and open and easy to get in to clean, I liked the multispokes but glad i got the sport ones. And re the sound of the engine, I usually have the stereo on too loud to hear the engine anyway!
