General Flashing mileage solution

Maron! Here we go with the Chrysler influence in the Fiat electronics. They do not work right, the dealers are arrogant about the issue and nobody has a sure fix for the problem.

My flashing odometer started just before the 8000 mile mark. The dealer said it was a reminder message to not go over the 8000 miles for the service and inspection and it would happen at each successive 8000 miles. Told me he has only one Fiat tech in the Chrysler-Jeep dealership and cannot possibly look at the car or do the service for about two weeks.

The car has been back in the American market for less than a year and poor reliability and lack of dealer support are on track to doom the introduction and sales of the Fiat 500. The same fate will befall the Abarth in America. I understand that the revised owner's manual will have a Greyhound bus schedule in the appendix.

It looks like they just hung some new sheet metal on the old Fiat-Yugo and assemble it in Mexico now! lol lol

chrysler have little or no influence on the electronics of the car its the other way round...its a fiat with a chrysler badge on the front :p, flashing millage means there is a node on the can bus system that is not communicating correctly, usually a proxy alignment will resolve it, and quite frankly if the guy at the dealer didn't know this basic fix he should be sacked :D
