Hi all, I'm new on the forum and have a question....

After purchasing my lovely Lorenzo last September, we then found out we were going to have another addition to the family! On a number of rather harrassed visits to major baby retail outlets we have found that very few prams fit in the car and that baby seats are a bit of a squeeze too - We have now found that the Bugaboo Bee fits perfectly and comes in Bright yellow to match the car! Car seats do seem a bit of a squeeze though but I will not be deterred! Has anyone had and overcome the same problem?

Hi Clare, welcome and congratulations on both of your additions to the family. (y)

There have been a few posts regarding this subject so I know that there is a wealth of knowledge out there ready to be tapped into. I am certain as well that you will get plenty of answers to your questions very soon.

Congats on both accounts! As we got the baby first, we skipped the baby seat stage, so somebody else will have to do input on that. As a stroller we are using Bebeconfort Vit (got it ages ago, hopefully still being manufactured) as it is one hand steering (quite handy in the shops ;)) and it will JUST fit into the booth. I'm sure somebody else mentioned Quinny Zap or similar... Good luck!

check this post I can fir the Maxi cosi chair with isofix base and have enough space for my wife upfront. Pram wise we have the quinny buzz 3 which just fits in the boot with the wheel off.

Hello!

I too skipped the baby part in this car as my little man was 2.5 years old when I bought it but the 9months to 4 years seat fitted really well, as does the booster seat with the high back.

We have a Maclaren standard stroller and it fits in the boot perfectly from side to side without having to go on an angle.

And congrats on the news!

My little boy loves the 500 so I hope your new addition is the same when he/she arrives.

H.

Stroller in boot on day of purchase. (don't really know how to add photos so not sure this will work!)

EDIT : click on the photo to make it bigger lol (how do you all insert photos into your posts ... never works for me!)

Heidi, any excuse to showoff the red leather. lol. Re photos, click on the "gallery" tab at top of forum page and upload from your computer. When you want to insert a pic in a post Ben has just included a camera icon, just above the smilies that takes you straight to them. (y)

This is the preferred way of hosting photos as it doesn't leave empty placeholders when links get broken or photos moved on other hosting sites.

See your mum was baby/house sitting this morning. Where were you, out shopping I'll bet. Ha! Ha!

It's true - I can confirm that I have my own stalker!!!!!!!!!! Yes I was out at my church (castlepoint lol) but my mum was with me in the 500 (I refuse to go in the mini when i've got such a stylish car in comparison).

Has anyone tried to fit a Bugaboo Cameleon in? And the carry cot attachment?

Hoping to buy a fiat 500 at the weekend - no kids yet but hopefully in the near future! :0)

A Bugaboo in the 500? Can't say I fancy your chances. Unless you're prepared to totally strip it down to it's component parts every time you want to take it with you. If I get the chance I will try it, but we have an Audi A3 Sportback to take the boys anywhere and the Bugaboo fills quite a bit of that boot. No chance the carrycot will fit unless you flatten it each time. Believe me, you want to minimise the amount you have to faff about when you have small children.

What about that new buggy that was on The Apprentice???? I'm sure that would fit and if not in the boot, then behind the passenger/driver seat. Not sure if it's 0+ age but you could check?

Ah I see it's from 6 months, but could be useful anyway. I would have bought that pram if i didn't already have a maclaren stroller (which fits in the boot by the way perfectly, and is from 3 months onwards..........). See my photos as there is one of the pram in the boot i think. If not I can send it to you.

that website is useful because it has dimensions for all the prams on the market at the moment. The MacLaren pram on there (spitfire) is from birth and if it's the same length as mine folded it'll fit. I can measure mine if you want, just pm me to let me know.
