Ordered a new 500 last week end and due to collect it on the 1st of march, 1.2 Lounge in New orleans blue (we were originally buying a bigger car!!) had loads of italian cars before ranging from a cinquecento sporting up to a GTV V6 and have always learnt if a warning light isnt on there is something wrong (never had a serious problems though and love italian cars for there flair!!) Is there anything we need to be aware of on the 500?? as its brand new and under warranty, for a change we can get any problems sorted under warranty!! Cant find any horror stories relating to the 500 and looking forward to a shiny new 500!!

Getting mine on the 1st too (or maybe even the day before if I'm lucky). One thing I would suggest is having a good look through old threads and make good use of the search function on here. There's lots of useful information - starting from the day you collect your new car.

Armed with info gained from this forum I've already been down to my dealer to make sure I get my copy of the pdi, ALL the necessary manuals, a service book with car details entered - even down to confirming how they attach the number plates to the tailgate!

Check your tax disc. Mine was from another car. I found out 6 months later when the dealer rang to say that I had the tax disc from another one of his customers cars and she had mine.

I wouldn't worry about the thank you pack. You get a half gig usb stick thats rubbish. Leave it in Blue&Me and when you turn the car on it often doesn't read. That's about it aside from a welcome to the family letter.

Turn it on and say 'hey, half the tank of petrol is missing!'

I've ordered 1.2 sport in New Orleans Blue (with chrome kit) i debated between the n/o blue or the black for a while, and decided that the blue was more fun!
I have to wait until the 9th ish ( ) to see how good the colour looks! so i'm looking forward to a piccy !!!!

Picked it her up at 12:00 today and done 100 miles in her, Got the Blue me phone connection working with a Windows based phone and all functions working!! Blue Me sat Nav also working (cracking unti for £160), All is good so far and it looks great in this blue with sport wheels, Already got it showing 42mpg!! How do i add pictures on here??

Saw the New Orleans Blue at a dealership yesterday and it looked absolutely gorgeous, especially in direct sunlight. The interior looked really expensive with the dark blue too

The thing on the dash, I assume its a satnav? Does it plug into the socket on top of the dash? Reason I ask is a work colleague showed me his 3 week old car the other day and it had a socket on the dash which he hadnt asked for. He thought it was for an Ipod.

The bit out of the dash is the blue me sat nav tidy bit of kit and works well through the radio, love my car!!
