I bought my car on a PCP contract last year and it is now time to get it serviced. I am thinking of taking my car to a non Fiat dealer (maybe Ford) to get it serviced as my nearest Fiat dealer is too far away and would like to know does it affect the 500's warranty or the PCP contract at all?

I think so, in my experience all car manufacturers stipulate that the service had to be carried out at an authorised garage i.e. dealer or special garage (had training form FIAT). That's why dealer rates go down after 3 years as they know they are now competing with Jo around the bloke.

a good example is KIA with their 7 year 100,000 mile warranty, good way to make dealers some money, i.e. 7 year service at premium rates!

You can get your car serviced anywhere. Providing the garage uses Fiat approved parts your warranty will not be affected.

They should also be VAT registered.

Ah yes, I took it for granted that most garages will be VAT registered.

thought sevicing was included in PCP contracts?
