i have just bought a sport 500 and have the standard aircon fit in it,I really want the automatic climate control,can it be fitted after...??

In a word, no. Of course anythings possible if you have enough money

i don't actually know, but I would be surprised if it can be.

The problem with modern cars is that most functions are CAN linked, not switches & relays like on older cars, this precludes the retro fitting things like climate as it often requires a specific ECU/VCU.

I'm not sure but the fan on the climate is almost continuously variable speed so is probably a different unit to the manual ac. Which would mean a dash-out just before you've even started.

And the air distribution box is probably a cable operated affair if it's the same as the Panda's box whilst the climate uses an electronically controlled box.

So I'd agree - probably not (economically).

It's not the best of systems anyway. Not bad, like the Focus ST, just not great like VW's climatronic.
