Nope it's a civic Coupe don't worry it's a long story people know who use other forums i'm on.

I'm not using it for Racing i'm not that stupid to think an Abarth would beat anything lol

Great for the customer, not great for Fiat. Performance models are almost always released some time after the 'cooking' models are launched. If the Abarth had been launched straight away then all these people that bought the normal 500s would have gone for the Abarth instead. By launching the cars at seperate intervals it means for sales for Fiat.

yep hear you but they are losing out more by killing the residuals on the Fiat - which may damage sales when compared to the MINI, and the sales of Abarth are a small percentage.

the marketing mix is always a difficult call but i think they have fallen on their sword with this one

I dont think they have, I for one am not interested at all in the Abarth, and I bet loads of others wouldnt be as well. I would have thought if you bought a 1.4 then you might be interested in an Abarth, but if you bought a 1.2 or 1.3 then obviously performance isnt on your mind?
For me, the Abarth is too much money and it seems as though they are offering poor finance and poor part exchanges too.
One question, does the Abarth come with the Titanic turning circle of the 1.4, thatll be the one thing I shant miss when mine goes:)

Maybe ones with 1.2 realised they want something a bit faster so why not get the Abarth than just the 1.4.

I have the 1.4 Sport anyway so you know why i want the Abarth :p

Ollie's boss said for me to hold on a bit because he may order some in so can get a better deal :)

You wont get a better deal, your 1.4 sport was £10900 without options, that is what the trade in price is based on, in the social groups you say they have offered 10k for your car after all this time which is astonishing, you will not get a better offer than that... you must have seen what everyone else is being offered? Bite the hand of the Abarth dealer now:)

ordered cars are on a 12 week lead time

i know of at least one launch edition car (white with 17" alloys red leather and stickers) available due to cancelled order, the dealers are not supposed to sell their demonstrators but some of them are if they are faced with losing the sale

good luck with getting a good deal, my experience is that there is no discount available - at all.

Maybe it's just me but something sounds a little off about being offered 10k for a 6 month old car which is 10,900 without options. Either she's not actually getting that or there is some severe reamage going on with the finance which is why such a silly tradein is being offered.

Yep he said standard cars were sold at 10k but with my options i have one of the top end of the 500s.

Because i put such a big deposit down on the car and going to add to it why they will give me a good deal :)

Agree with the statement that not everyone will not want an Abarth and I include myself in that. The 500 is cute and economical which is why I purchased it, however the Abarth is neither of these and costs 15k! For me the 500 abarth will be one of those cars I will respect and admire as a car nut but never desire to own, in the same way i admire and respect Impreza's, Lancer Evo's and all the other 4 cylinder screamers out there.

Perhaps it's a sign of old age, but i like the more understated car (...Yes I will be one of those people driving a BMW M5 Touring rebadged as a 520i LOL :D ).

Whatever the reasons, so long as YOU are happy with the offer and do the deed then this is all that matters. Good luck! (y)

The Abarth is £13,600, not £15,000 ;)

Si

But the first 200 Launch models are £15,070 I believe.

£13,600 and you still have to pay extra for the stripes and coloured mirrors, 17" alloys and unless you go for Bossa Nova white, any other colour option will then take it over £14k mark.
