Went down to Autoworld Chesterfield yesterday all the way from Oldham to see the New 500 Abarth and Alfa MiTo and both look stunning!!!

Ended up test driving the A500 and I was very impressed. I already have the 1.4 Sport and the Abarth just felt so much quicker and more composed.

So now I've put down a deposit and I'm going to p/x my current 500. I went for the Grey colour with red mirrors & stripes with the 5 spoke 17" 'Petal' alloys.

Can't wait to drive the Abarth back over Snakes Pass in April/May (y) Obviously being extremely careful!!

Did you also try the Mito? If so, how did it compare? I have taken a Mito out (the 155 bhp) & it was great to drive, but haing also driven a Grande Punto Sporting (which it's based on) I'm not sure it's worth the extra.

Did they give you a decent price for the 1.4?

I didn't try the MiTO, my sole intention was to try the Abarth, although the MiTo looked sexy. I got quite a decent deal on my 1.4 which I expected, just got a long wait now though, which includes having to Tax and Service the current 500 :( Nevermind :)

£13,600? Bloody hell, I wish I didn't have my 500 on finance now, I'd love to upgrade :( Ah well, would be better for me to wait for a few years I guess!

autoworld chesterfield is my closest abarth dealer i'm going to arrange a test drive with them but was wondering what they where like ( the dealership )

they are very good, jonathan is the guy i was dealing with, he knows what he's talking about and he's not pushy. have fun with the test drive (y) but remember, there will be no turning back once you've seen, heard and driven it

Having been in GPs and now the Mito I'm certain the extra refinement and that 1.4turbo is well worth the extra.

Only GP near the performance is the GP Abarth and you'll be paying more for the GP than the Mito.

Would love to drive a 500 Abarth.. Maybe next time I'm in York?

The Mito is on a par with my Bravo for features and I'd say better on finish and quality. Then again that's what you should expect given it's an Alfa and not a Fiat.
