Hi all

After looking after my lovely 500 for six months I've only gone and caught the drivers side front alloy and it now has about a 6 inch scuff on the edge.

They're the 16" multi spoke alloys (P/N 71803945). Does anyone know how much one of these is ? and given the dropping value of the pound are spare prices going up so if I was going to replace it I'd be best doing it sooner rather than later ?

You may well be able to get it repaired. I don't actually know anything about it, but I am sure someone will soon be along to help

You could get the wheel reconditioned. A good bodyshop should be able to do it for you. I am sure my dealer told me this once regarding my Mums Stilo 17"s.

a lot less than replacement

i did the same on my 16" multi's my dealer quoted me £180 each inc vat so i left it and just keep checking e-bay.

Just seen this thread being a relative newbie.

If you cannot find a replacement (cost usially being the inhibitive factor in these things) I would highly recommend getting a qoute for a repair.

Fellow BMW owners from another forum I visit used a company called Wicked Wheels who refurbish alloys for Porsche, BMW and Mercedes dealerships as well as private individuals.

Not heard a bad word against them to be honest so may be worth giving them a call and seeing if they could help at a fraction of the cost.
