I've been told by a Fiat dealer that I will struggle to get comfortable in a 500 with a sunroof (I'm looking at a 1.4 Lounge / Sport with roof).

I'm 6'3" and don't have long legs or a long upper body - pretty much 50/50.

My local dealer had a car I could sit in without a sunroof but not with a sunroof - any thoughts on whether I'd find the car a struggle to get comfortable in?

Any tall drivers on here? :)

I would defo try it out first. My hubbie has long legs but shorter body and is 6ft1 and has loads of headroom ..... my dad is also 6ft1 but is the opposite and when he was in the car with me recently his head was almost touching the glass roof.

Surely if they want a sale they can find one to show you? If not, go to another dealer to look .... or maybe you are near to someone on here who has a sun roof - don't know where you are in the country!

hope that helps (probably not!)

and Welcome to the Forum :)

Thanks Heidi :)

I did pump the seat down but was still 'a hair cut' away from touching the roof :D (and that was without a sunroof)

I think I may be just too tall for this little gem of a car. :(

As for finding one to sit in, my neigbour has one but he is away for Christmas - so will have to wait until he returns as the dealer near me isn't much help.

Hi
I'm 6, 2" and tried both out before we went for the Sport (no sunroof). The lounge demo was so close to my head and really made it feel tight, as if I felt I had to lean forward all the time, not what I wanted really!

But honest - no probs at all in the 1.4 sport!

I'm 6 1" and did not fit in anything with a sunroof.

I have a very long body and almost no legs ;) With the bouncy ride I constantly bashed my head on the sunroof in a lounge. So I got a Sport which is the only model here you can get without one. :D

I always find it funny that most cars in the UK have a sun roof when you have no sun :chin:

The sunroof here would be painful, the useless blind it comes with does not block the sun. It's going to be 34C here today and the sun banging down on you through one would be very unpleasant.

CJay - where on earth are you?! Assume Oz or NZ? It's -2 here in bournemouth at the moment!

Yep, I'm in Oz, they need to make the little flags on here larger ;-)

39C Tomorrow they say

Happy new year to you all :)

Both cars I have been offered have the 'Skydome' option - does this eat into the headroom?

I sat in a Lounge yesterday and while it was tight, it was okay; however, this had the fixed roof and not the electric one.
