Picked up my lovely 1.2 Lounge in Cha Cha Cha Azure yesterday evening. (y)

However, driving home from work this evening and the Engine Management Light came on with the message 'Check Engine'!

Pulled over and phone up the garage and they've asked me to bring it back in so they can hook it up to the diagnostics. Started the engine again, and the light is no longer there!

Will keep an eye on it, but going to take it back just to make sure.

Still, impressions... Great little car. Still getting used to Blue & Me, and I don't think it likes my old phone that much so an excuse to upgrade. Economy is already showing 55mpg, so happy with that. The Azure attacts dirt, my clean car is now very very dirty. Time of year I guess.

Media player works well, but not convinced that USB socket will last long, looks a bit flimsy and with a USB Stick in it, just looks like it could break off so easy. May get hold of a right angled USB small extension cable. Need to tweak the settings on the Stereo to get it to a level I'm happy with.

Brakes are squealing abit. May give that time to bed in properly before making a fuss.

Ride a little lumpy, but we've all heard about that. Doesn't bother me.

Feels very small compared to my Clio, but feel quite safe and cacooned in it.

Visibility all-round very good.

Apart from the Engine light, hope it's a good relationship.

Hope it's all OK for you in the end, they are brilliant fun. Just wait until after 2,000 miles when the engine has loosened up, even for a 1.2 it pulls nicely.

What Clio did you have?

Was 2003 1.5 dCi Expression AC, (65bhp).

Don't get me wrong, was a great car, so economical. But, Gearbox failed after 99,200 miles and the cost to repair it myself was not worth it.

Garage that took it in part-ex had it up on the Ramps when I picked up the 500. Engine and Gearbox removed, so obviously doing the work themselves knowing they can get a good price on the forecourt for it. Still worth a bit as they are sought after cars, but I just had enough.

Plus, the 500 has got me smiling! (Once I solve this Gremlin)

500 is a great car, you will be chuffed to bits with her, remember she's Italian, she has a personality and if shes like most Italian women, she will be the boss. Have fun.(y)

Humble Clio Grande owner previously currently enjoying the 500 experience. Good luck with the new car.

Got in booked in at 4pm today to get it hooked up to their diagnostics and just to make sure everything is ok.

Will report back.

Still haven't got a name for the car yet.

Oh dear.

We currently have a Ford Fusion 1.4 TDCi, in which, a few months ago, the gearbox gave up the ghost after 45,000 miles. £1,400 to fix - thank God for the old flexible friend, eh! If it wasn't for the fact they it's still being paid for, it would have been at our local FIAT dealer there and then as a part-ex for a 500!

Once it IS paid off, then it'll DEFINITELY be going as a part-ex for a 500! My wife can't wait to get one!

Just got back from the Dealer, and after siting in their waiting room with a cup of tea for 30 minutes; the result is....

Intermittent Fault with the Coil.

Booked in again for 8:30am on Saturday, told I'll be on my way by 09:00am.

Glad I bothered to get it checked now, lets hope this is the one and only Gremlin.
