Thnk you i will let you guys know on monday when the workshop opens
Ahmett are you still sure you don't wanna give a try with the dealer i told you? Well, they may don't have the spare part available neither, but they ALWAYS have cars available. Of course, most of them are some messed puntos, but it's ok for a few days.
Well, while i was waiting for my 500, i was driving a 5 y old Stilo (it was in a very decent condition). Since then, i have visited the dealership twice (parking sensors and rattles) and i have been given a punto for free (5 y old and crappy). It was just for a few hours so i didnt care that much. What did they give you when you had gotten a courtesy car? I dont care what it is as long as its not 1000 years old and will break down on me! If its a less than 3 years old punto i am fine with that! Lets see what they say tomorrow if not i may give your dealer a call but first to fiat Customer Services. Its not my fault my fiat broke while under warranty the dealer didnt even try blaming me for it!
Tsokas right? I can call them i think i have their number with me.
Hello ok i went to the dealer with my car sans working duallogic box and they checked it out. All the transmission oil leaked out by then. They checked the bottom of the car and found no source for the leak. They opened up the bonnet and told me the problem is from above and they have to replace a part of the dualogic box. Its under warranty so i am not paying anything. They said it would take like an hour to fix but no spare parts on them so i have to wait until it comes and they dont know when. I asked for a loan car they said they have none ( i mean the dealer doesnt even have one test car on the forecourt) they said they will check tomorrow. So train it is then. If they dont have a car tomorrow i may call fiat cs and find a dealer with a car to spare
A hire car would be an option and should not cost not that much with a lot of garages having preferential rates. Your own insurance is used but you need to watch the excess (it can be up to €500). You can also take out seperate insurance. IIRC the AA (if you have it as part of your Fiat arrangement) give a car for 2 days if it is under warranty but it may only be for the first year.
Ahmett - I am a little confused. Has the gearbox lost its oil or does it just need a part ?
Surely both? Leaks happen for a reason.

Noticed a few getting a part on the dualogic e.g. ECU part to control the gear changes but if oil has leaked that could indicate gearbox damage. That could take a lot longer than an hour to fix. Hence the confusion on the time scale.

Can you confirm if you are within the 2 year Fiat warranty or is your warranty in Greece just one year Fiat and then one year dealer ?
Garages used to have courtesy cars but the 'selfish few' abused the privilege and they're no longer commonplace. ...Sounds like the CS Speed fluid from your description, the gearbox didn't go into lockdown it just simply couldn't change gear without it hydraulic fluid...
