Styling Replacement bulbs for DRL's

Found these bulbs today which are suitable for replacing the DRL bulbs in the 500 :-

Not cheap but I believe they are a top brand (bulb) so will see what they are like when they arrive.

Hmmm

Are you sure they're the right bulb? I thought the DRL's were 21W / 5W (Stop / Tail) bulbs with the same fitment? Are they a wedge style bulb then?

Steve it says in the link that they work with the new 500's DRL's.
Yep the DRL's are wedge type bulbs.

Arrived today and fitted them.
Very white and a lot brighter than the std ones. Look to be a good match for the Osrams I replaced the dipped and high beam bulbs with.
No check DRL's warning etc either which some had said effects the leds you can get to replace the DRL's.

Shall be ordering myself a set of these I think, along with some new main bulbs. Thanks for the feedback!

A bit of advice for anyone fitting these bulbs.
The 500 manual says to turn the bulb holder "clockwise" to release the bulb holder.
Wrong.
Turn it "anti-clockwise" to release and "clockwise" to tighten once bulb has been changed over.
Its only a small turn to loosen and the same to tighten, it will give a small click when its located properly.

Has no one picked up on the fact that these are actually a higher wattage than the originals and thats why its brighter not due to its white light??? or did noone else say due to the risk of looking stupid for pointing out the obvious.

Ok a few (poor quality) pics of the replacement DRL bulbs :-

It could be due to your camera auto-exposing for too long but are they really really bright? I really want some myself but I'm worried they will be too bright and people will think they're fog lights or something!

They were taken with my phone.
They are not really really bright, it was 6:30am this morning when I took the pics and obviously dark!
I drove home with them on at 1:00pm and no one flashed me or anything like that.
