Hey all,

I got a werid message this morning when i turned the car on, its said check engine, and the yellow warning light came on for it (1.2 pop)
any ideas?

the book just says i can still drive but it will be with higher emissions and shouldn't put much strain on the engine and to refer to dealership...

could a lack of antifreeze be the problem?

just drove from manchester to darlington and its still on but havent noticed anything different.

any ideas before i give the dealership a call tomorrow?

Check fluid levels. Oil and water. Other than that just follow the manual instructions. Could be nothing could be something. It will probably need the examiner at the dealer to find out.

narrowed it down to being low oil.

just went for a spin and there where no errors, apart from low oil popped up after about 15minutes.

any idea what type of oil to put in?

it says in the manual...

Lubricants with synthetic base, grade SAE 5W-40 ACEA C3 Qualification Fiat 9.55535-S2

Anyone want to translate that and tell me what to buy?

my local petrol station has a chart that says fiats should have castrol 10W-40 and unsure if this will do any damage?
