My 500 is due to be delivered to my home on 23rd and my childminder will be taking delivery!

Apart from obvious things like the car being in brand new condition what should I tell her to check/expect to receive??

(She's a bit old; but the kids love her!!)

Any tips gratefully received.

pre empt one of the probs, ring the dealer and tell them to stick your no. plate on with sticky fixers or use the proper mounting holes, rather than drill 2 new holes in your brand spanking new tailgate

little thing, yeh, but in my case, they'd left the swarf behind the number plate. Lovely little patch of rust by the time I'd clocked it

ours was also set to italian language, had to download software from net to a memory stick and upload to the car

as said, little things .. .

Hmmm, I wouldn't let her accept delivery - simple as.

So she takes it in - you get home, and find something adrift, then what?

Surely you must be joking right?
If you cannot be there that day get it changed to one when you can be.

:yeahthat: to both of the above!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know it makes sense - trying to avoid a day off work if I can cos they don't deliver at weekends. Perhaps I am a bit naive in thinking they wouldn't drive the car from Lincoln to Southport if they hadn't PDI'ed it properly. If there's a prob tho' it's a bit of a trek back!
Thanks.

I would take the day off - I had a good look round my car, at the seats, the boot, the paintwork etc etc and I'm so glad as I know that if it had any problems (apart from the massive scratch on the wing!) I would have been able to point out before driving off therefore they knew it had happened with them if you know what I mean.

Jings crivens help ma boab. You are spending your hard earned with them. Tell them you want it at the weekend. Possibly offer to go in early at 8 or get it at 4pm, but you are in charge.

Cheers

PD

grimwau, yeh, did that, it changed the language on the display to english, but the omni-present lady who asks questions was still speaking italian.

Followed tha manuals to the letter, still no joy, resorted to the trusty interweb and downloaded a file, uploaded to the car, happy days

Not a major issue, I know, but that made it more annoying cos I thought 'what a crappy oversight from the dealer'
