Now that the factory in Poland has been back at work for almost 3 weeks I had hoped my car would have been now at the least built, but alas no. At least according to my saleman anyway, still at status 16 which it has been for 7 weeks.
After a visit to my dealership on Monday he claims he cant access the system to check and the only 2 people who can check are 2 admin girls who both happen to be off work (1 on holiday and the other off sick).
I simply find it hard to believe that these girls are the only ones in a very large Fiat dealership who can check this out.
He says he is confident it will arrive before the end of the month (September) but frankly if it is still at status 16 this would be nigh on impossible given the time-scales others have experienced.
I was intending to give him until next Wednesday (my next day off) when I was going to pay him another visit but now I'm not sure if I should wait until then.
Any advise would be appreciated.

Unfortunately this is the truth.
Admin are the only people who can check the Fiat system.
Your salesman can only get his information from them. You can believe me when I say that trying to get almost anything arranged when there are no admin is a nightmare. Ask your salesman if Tony can get access. I'm not sure wether he can but if your salesman thinks your on first name terms with the GM he might try that little harder.

At both dealerships I used recently the salesmen were able to access that information, in fact they showed me the screen as they did it.

.... and after all that wait some tw*t scratches your paintwork whilst valeting it........

Thanks mate.
I will pay him a visit on Wednesday hopefully someone from admin will be back and give him an accurate update of my cars status.
I have met the GM as it was him that told me my original salesman had been given the boot!
He said I was a pushy git when trying to close the sale.

Just got a call from salesman telling me my car has eventually arrived from Portbury (sat there 3 weeks).
So off to dealers to check it out.
Fingers crossed everything is ok with it.

Brian, just for a giggle when you open the boot and look inside, say to the salesman, "It's a bit dark in here" then point to the hole where the boot light should be and say "someone's nicked me light".

If the salesman is on the ball he'll point out that it is only fitted on lounge models, if not he might apologise and offer to get it fitted FOC.

Small compensation for the wait but better than nothing.

The car has no marks dings etc, a clean bill of health.








The dealers still have to prep the car and the small matter of my private plate transfer but at least I know the car is there and it shouldn't be too much longer.

As im new to the 500,forum yours will be the first one ive followed the progress of (back reading) and finally arrived.

Looks great. bet you cant wait to get going in it.

Should be easy to keep clean hopefully.
The only others I have seen in this colour are at my dealership, think one or both are sold though.

I saw the new Fiesta while I was up at the garage, looks like they started out to build the new Mondeo but only managed the front, then used the bits from the old one to finish it.

Might grow on me but I'll keep my 500 ta very much
